To promote scholar communication, each year the National Central Library assembles data from National Central Library's Taiwan Citation Index–Humanities and Social Sciences. The institution recognizes the academic journals that are of the most cited and impactful according to the results.

In 2023, Language and Linguistics ranks among the best in Linguistics and be honored with Long-term Communicator Awards in Linguistics TCHI Journals (精選期刊傳播（長期引用）), for being one of the most cited journals published in Taiwan over the past 30 years in the category of THCI journals, academic theses, monographs, and book chapters.
