Meeting Description:
  International Conference "Tangut Language, Religions and Cultures of the Northern China" focuses on linguistic, religious and cultural developments in the region of the Northern China (especially the Wutaishan area) during the period from the end of the Tang dynasty (881 AD) until the time of the Mongolian conquest of the Eurasian continent in the 13th century. The Conference intends to do extensive investigations into languages, religions and cultures of the Tangut Kingdom, Liao and Jin empires with the special attention to the forms of cultural exchange between these states, and its possible significance to the modern world.
